The Trial Season 2 is making a ware on OTT, picks up amid the aftermath of Rajiv Sengupta’s (Jisshu Sengupta) scandal, with Noyonika demanding a divorce while supporting her children and career. Rajiv counters by plunging into politics, seeking Noyonika’s help to revive his prospects, only to face fierce opposition from powerful rival Narayani Dhole (Sonali Kulkarni). The law firm itself is in upheaval, with Malini Khanna (Sheeba Chaddha) battling for her leadership and new partner dynamics introduced through Karanvir Sharma and the legendary Asrani making his OTT debut. Alyy Khan’s Vishal returns, rekindling emotional tensions for Noyonika.

The second season of ‘The Trial: Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha’ features Kajol reprising her role as Noyonika Sengupta, with Jisshu Sengupta as Rajeev Sengupta, Kubbra Sait as Sana, Sheeba Chaddha, Alyy Khan, and Gaurav Pandey. Karanvir Sharma joins the cast as Param Munjal, an ambitious new partner at the law firm. The season is set to premiere on JioHotstar on September 19, 2025.
The expanded ensemble features Kubbra Sait, Gaurav Pandey, and a host of returning and new faces, ensuring layered conflict and emotional complexity. Director Umesh Bist helms the season, emphasizing darker, more intimate storytelling.
